The UULM-MD Board encourages and supports initiatives by UU individuals and groups to further the mission of the organization. The vitality of UULM-MD is based on our members’ expression of Unitarian Universalist values in civic discourse and legislation. This form provides the information needed to evaluate an issue’s potential as a priority for UULM-MD for the next session of the Maryland General Assembly.
Public Policy Issue:
COMAR (Code of Maryland) Regulations (http://www.dsd.state.md.us/comar/):
What is the desired outcome?
What UU values support the outcome?
What organizations are currently involved in this issue? (**Note if taking a leading role**) National or state Unitarian Universalist groups:
Other national or state groups:
Local UU congregations or groups:
What individual talents and qualities are required to support the outcome?
In order to garner support and increase understanding, a task group would need to be formed. Please list UULM-MD members or potential members who would agree to be part of the task group. (At least three active members must be directly involved.)
List the designated leaders authorized to speak for the group and ONE OR TWO who will be responsible for reporting, communication within the group and to the Board.
When do you expect to begin?
Do you anticipate continued education after the desired outcome of the bill? If so, in what form?
Thank you for your interest in furthering Unitarian Universalist values in civic discourse and legislation. The UULM-MD Board will review your recommendation and respond ASAP. For any questions or to discuss your proposal, feel free to contact us at email@example.com.
