Community Choice Energy

The house bill (HB 561) for Community Choice Energy will have its hearing Thursday, Feb. 13 in the Economic Matters Committee (and Feb 25 in the Senate Finance Committee (SB 315)). As you may know, Exelon has been lobbying mightily against the bill and it is a heavy lift to get it to a floor vote (and once there, still a heavy lift). Please consider the following the action alert. https://secure.foodandwaterwatch.org/act/md-community-choice-aggregation

It is more effective, if one of your legislators is a member of the House or Senate committee, to send a personal email to that legislator.

The list of members of the House Economic Matters Committee is here https://msa.maryland.gov/msa/mdmanual/06hse/html/com/03eco.html

And the Senate Finance Committee members are here https://msa.maryland.gov/msa/mdmanual/05sen/html/com/04fin.html
