Major Juvenile Justice and Cannabis Bills Voted Out of Committee
On Friday, the House Judiciary Committee voted out Chairman Clippinger's HB 495 - Juvenile Justice Reform - Favorable with Amendments, and it will be on the House Floor for second reader on Tuesday, February 22 at 10:00. Most of the public attention that day will be on HB 1 and HB 837 - Cannabis Reform and its corresponding Constitutional Amendment, both of which also came out of Judiciary with favorable reports. UULM-MD will be monitoring to see what amendments were adopted by the committee and whether there will be attempts to impede passage of these bills.
