Midweek Update on Priority Bills

Updated: Mar 21

Just past the March 15 Committee Reporting Courtesy Date, we can report on many more bills voted out of committees and sent to the House and Senate floors. This includes several of the bills that UULM-MD Issue Leads have designated as priorities. Several bills have emerged after March 15, and others are still being considered by committees and could still make it to final passage. We hope that as many of our priorities as possible make it through their house of origin ahead of the Opposite Chamber Bill Crossover Date on March 21. If they do not, they will be referred to the other chamber’s Rules Committees, which would jeopardize passage in the last three weeks of the session.
