Priority Bills Moving

Updated: Mar 17

Ahead of the March 15 Committee Reporting Courtesy Date, committees have been busy voting bills and sending them to the House and Senate floors. This includes several of the bills that UULM-MD Issue Leads have designated as priorities. This will continue in the coming week, with few bill hearings to be held and longer floor sessions in each chamber to debate and vote on what is reported by their committees. We will get little or no prior notice of voting sessions, so please continue to stay tuned for alerts from Issue Teams and act in support of the specific bills when they ask. The next deadline is the Opposite Chamber Bill Crossover Date on March 21; each Chamber is to send to the other Chamber those bills it intends to pass favorably. Opposite Chamber bills received after this date are subject to referral to Rules Committees, which would delay passage.
