Thank goodness Maryland has Paid Sick Leave

Last year we passed the Healthy Working Families Act that gave all Marylanders five days of paid sick leave. Maryland is looking pretty smart right now. The New York Times editorial says it all:

"We Are Ignoring One Obvious Way to Fight the Coronavirus: Paid sick leave could slow the spread of the disease and its impact on the economy."

We need to follow up on this success by passing the FAMLI Act (Time to Care) that provides an insurance program to fund family and medical leave up to twelve weeks.

Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) Program Act SB 539, HB 839.
