The Town of Sudlersville in Queen Anne's County, Overwhelmingly says "No ICE"

You may recall that the Town Council was entertaining an ICE proposal to build a 600-bed facility in the town which sorely needed money to relieve a burdensome debt for a waste water treatment plant. At a town hall meeting Wednesday, 100% of the town's  and county's residents  who attended persuasively argued with facts, data, reports and stories against the facility, convincing the town's commissioners. ICE withdrew its proposal.

Kudos to the citizens of Sudlersville who have the moral courage, despite the town's financial difficulties, to prevent the continuation of an onerous and appalling Federal policy against immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers.
