In the past week, several more priority bills have passed, including the following:

  • Climate Change

  • HB 768 - Community Choice Energy – Pilot

  • HB 114 - Transit Safety and Investment Act

  • Criminal Justice

  • HB 89 - Diminution Credits – Education

  • Healthcare

  • HB 463 - Maryland Health Equity Resource Act

  • SB 514 and HB 565 - Medical Debt Protection

  • Immigration

  • HB 23- MVA Protection Act

  • LGBTQ+

  • HB 231 - Crimes - Mitigation and Defense - Race, Color, National Origin, Sex,

  • Gender Identity, or Sexual Orientation

  • HB 128/SB 220 - Criminal Law - Hate Crimes - Protected Groups and Penalties

Still pending are bills related to Immigration (HB 16 ), Gun Violence (SB 190) and the Climate Change (SB 414 and SB 137). These bills must all pass by midnight tonight in order to succeed!
